Callippe Preserve Golf Course

Located only a short drive from San Jose or San Francisco, Callippe Preserve is sure to be a unique and memorable course. Designed by Brian Costello, of JMP Golf Design Group, "Callippe Preserve was designed to cater to the wide spectrum of players anticipated to frequent the facility", says Costello. There are five sets of tees on this par 72, with the black tees playing at 6,748. The blue tees measure at 6,409, then the white tees at 6,024 yards, the gold tees at 5,560, and the red at 4,788 yards. Varieties of terrain are spread throughout the course as the front nine is routed through the valley and the back nine sits on a higher elevation with the Happy Valley Creek winding throughout. Superior views of Mount Diablo fill the sky line to the north and incredible sanctuaries dedicated to the Callippe Butterfly are displayed on holes 11 thru 14.

Chardon Lakes Golf Course

Chardon Lakes Golf Course opened in 1931 with 9 original holes designed by Bert Way, who also designed Firestone North and Mayfield Country Club. In 1963 the "new" nine opened, designed by Don Tincher and Carroll Bazler. Mr. Tincher, our current Pro Emeritus, has been at Chardon Lakes since 1950. In the early seventies he hosted American Cancer Society Benefits that included appearances by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Jack's score of 67 from the back tees still stands as the course record. As recently as 2001, Chardon Lakes has hosted several qualifiers for the Cleveland Open, which was a stop on the Nationwide Tour, The fact that none of today's young guns could break Jack's record stands as a testament to the challenge of our layout. As challenging as our course is from the tips at 6775 yards, several tee options provide playability for all skill levels. Winding through 120 acres of mature trees, ambling creeks and several ponds, players enjoy a classically designed and scenic course. Along with 43 sand traps and water in play on 11 of the 18 holes; our most talked about features are our large, sloped and quick greens. Our staff at Chardon Lakes is committed to providing a positive playing experience in a beautiful setting. For years, we have been known as the public course with a private course atmosphere. We invite you to come walk the fairways and greens that Jack and Arnie walked. Just minutes from home.

After extensive renovations, The Grove at Clermont National is set to open to the public on January 1st, 2024. The $3,000,000.00+ renovation has included a new modernized irrigation system, bunker repairs, re-grassing of the fairways with Bimini Bermuda and resurfacing of the greens with Sunday Bermuda grass. Many green surrounds have been updated with different native/ornamental grasses to enhance the look of the course. With the opening of the course, a new fully stocked pro shop will also open. Guests will also enjoy a new fleet of EZ- GO golf carts.The elevation changes brings a very different challenge that is not typical in Florida golf. Players will choose from five sets of tees to accommodate different skill levels.

Eagle Nest Golf Club opened in 1971 and has hosted hundreds of thousands of golfers since. Eagle Nest is built on 250 acres of pristine land in Little River, South Carolina and only a short 5-minute drive from North Myrtle Beach. With the serene surroundings and beautiful natural setting you can’t tell that you are less than one mile from busy Highway 17, making it very convenient. The Gene Hamm layout is spectacular and the course has been upgraded over the last several years to include the addition of the Perch Tee Boxes at over 8100 yards in length which makes it the longest course in South Carolina, and one of the longest in the nation. Player friendly and super senior tees have also been added to make Eagle Nest also one of the shortest courses in South Carolina. The tradition here is like a step back in time to a modern day version of golf that includes waste bunkers and sand features added to capture the natural terrain and diversity of the property with some surprising changes in elevation throughout the course. Eagle Nest has some unique differences from other Myrtle Beach golf courses with one being natural elevation changes. Most Myrtle Beach golf courses are relatively flat while Eagle Nest is set upon rolling hills that wind through towering Carolina pines, natural lakes and beautiful landscaping. Wildlife is in abundance at Eagle Nest adding to the enjoyment of your Myrtle Beach golf experience. CHARITABLE DONATION An optional charitable donation of $.10 per round shall be added to all green fees unless you opt out of making such a donation at the time of booking. All charges for the charitable donations shall be paid to the Golf Courses of the Grand Strand Charitable Fund at the Waccamaw Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Although charitable donation charges shall be paid to a tax-exempt charitable organization, these charges will not entitle you to a charitable contribution deduction.

Garland golf enthusiasts agree, any choice of nines provides the skillful golfer with a solid test. The clubhouse features the Branding Iron Restaurant and Patio. Most Firewheel players say, "If the Bridges Course has teeth, the Lakes Course has fangs!". The Old Course topography consists of slow moving streams winding throughout gently rolling terrain. Tree lined fairways, 65 strategically placed bunkers and heavily wooded areas makes this par 71 a challenge for all golfers. The Old Course remains a favorite among area golfers. The Lakes and Old courses boast the Pavilion, an open-air event facility that's perfect for corporate outings or family celebrations. Truly, this is the finest Garland golf course.

Hilldale Golf Club was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and built in 1970 on land that was once a sportsman's club and owned by the famous Chicago retailer Marshall Field. Winter hours currently are 8: Hilldale Golf Club is a par 71 course that offers challenges to golfers of any kind. Despite the skill level, a golfer might use all the clubs in the bag. Water comes into play on 13 holes on the tight course, and be wary of the out-of-bound stakes. Precise shotmaking and proper club selection is required. Some holes at Hilldale Golf Club favor a fairway wood or long iron from the tee. Several holes also require positioning shots for better angles to the green, affording plenty of risk and reward opportunities to keep the gamblers happy. Hilldale Golf Club is known for its great conditions and as 'the best greens in the burbs.' Indian Hills Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout that is located in the "foothills of the Ozarks." There are four sets of tees for players of all abilities to enjoy the natural surroundings as they make their way around one of the best kept secrets for championship golf in Arkansas. Indian Hills Golf Course is known by its tree lined fairways, deep bunkers, small sloped greens, and the Indian Rock Cave located off number nine fairway. The biggest challenge and key to playing Indian Hills with success is to put the ball in position to have a clear shot at the green. Most holes look straight forward off the tee but the challenge awaits on the approach shot to the green. Look out for overhanging tree limbs that may force a player to get creative when playing their shot to the green on hole numbers two, four, nine and sixteen. The signature hole at Indian Hills is the par three seventeenth hole that players must hit across a large ravine to an elevated green that slopes severely from back to front. Players who hit great shots beneath the hole will rewarded with an excellent chance at birdie. Shots missing the green will require a great up and down to save par. Indian Hills Golf Course is true yet fair test of golf and welcomes all players to come and test their skills on this challenging layout.

Tee times at JW Marriott Desert Springs Valley Course and the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course--a pair of Ted Robinson Sr. designs from the mid-1980s that have been updated by Ted Robinson, Jr.---are fully open to public golfers at all times. Throughout his career, the late, elder Robinson, who did several designs in the Palm Springs realm, earned a reputation for building fun, highly aesthetic, player-friendly golf courses that players of all skill levels can enjoy. That’ s certainly the case at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course, one of his signature creations. Locals and visitors alike favor it because it is the easier of the two courses and because of its array of postcard-worthy holes adorned with thick palm trees, colorful flowers, and picturesque water features. Robinson, who was known as the “ King of Waterscapes,” populated more than half of the holes on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course with water hazards featuring clean border lines and decorative stonework. The water holes raise the excitement level throughout the round. While some of the ponds and lakes on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course sit away from the strategic line of play, others are right in your line of attack. The first case in point is the pretty par-3 3rd hole, which requires a carry over water to reach the putting surface. The final four holes of the round, all of which are water-bound, make for the most impressive stretch of golf on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course. The 17th is a par 3 with an island green and the spectacular finisher, with water all up the left, comes right back to the epicenter of the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. The pleasant aspect of Robinson’ s design, the tall palm trees, the brilliant blue sky against the backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains, and the water features set the tone for a memorable day of golf at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Palm Course.

The front 9 at Kings Mountain Country Club offers a forgiving experience with side by side fairways and somewhat straight layouts. The back 9 offers a more challenging experience where the golfer will be faced with higher slopes and more dogleg holes that will require strategically placed shots to take advantage of the green locations.
