The Loxahatchee Club

Golf is the primary passion at The Loxahatchee Club. Golfers play with a satisfying combination of exuberance and dedication that is the hallmark of the Membership. The main focus of their devotion is the imaginative Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course of 7,240 yards, often described as a "shot maker's course," that golfers of all skill levels find enjoyable and challenging. Each day, members are on the links pursuing ever lower scores, while enjoying the camaraderie and laughs that come from sharing the ups and downs of the game they love. Although homes surround the golf course, they do not line the fairways. The course is comprised of two nine-hole loops, with tees and greens very close together, made possible as there are no interior homesites. Loxahatchee prides itself on the superior conditioning of the course, and offers an active tournament schedule for those who enjoy competition. The Club's practice facilities allow Members to play shots toward multiple target greens, from either end of the expansive range. In addition, there is an excellent short game area and a temperature controlled, state-of-the-art learning center where a dedicated team of PGA Golf Professionals to coach players of all skill levels. The Loxahatchee Club was created out of the love of the game of golf and follows in the tradition of the finest clubs in the country. Jack Nicklaus designed the course as a "members' course," with flavorings of the olde Scottish game mingled with the finest characteristics of modern American golf. The course was selected as the best new course by Golf Digest which also rated Loxahatchee in 1989 as one of the top 100 courses in North America.

The Old Collier Golf Club

The concept and commitment underlying The Old Collier Golf Club is to create not a country club or a residential community, but rather a unique and special club dedicated to the game of golf. The design of the golf course reflects this priority and creates a special golf environment that is not compromised in any way. The design integrates shot values, playability, aesthetics, and conditioning amid a magnificent natural environment, creating an experience that golfers of all skill levels will enjoy day in and day out. The golf course has many features and natural habitats that not only contribute, but also enhance the overall golf experience. The dominant habitat is saltwater marsh with mangrove bay trees bordering the course's northern side. Hole #10, #11, #12 and #18 play along and over this valuable coastal resource. Another unique habitat is the upland scrub with its distinctive white sands. Seven holes on the back nine ( #11, #12, #14, #18) weave between, around, and over the upland scrub adding variety and interest to the golfer's round. The balance of the course has mature trees (oaks, and sabal palms) and lakes which have been used to add framing, definition and strategy to each golf hole. The new terrain blends naturally with its surroundings, and provides many uphill and downhill shots, unique for southern Florida. Elevated tees give the golfer very dramatic though sometimes deceptive views of the challenge that lays ahead. Green sizes and contours vary for shot value and strategy with each green having its own unique character. Sand bunkers mimic the visual characteristics of the upland sand scrub though varying in size and shape to fit the character and strategy of each hole.
