Ironhorse Golf Club

With its opening in 1995, IRONHORSE Golf Club has quickly become the topic of con- versation among golfers throughout the Kansas City Area. Located at 154th and Mission Road in Leawood, this par 72, championship, 18-hole layout was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan of Columbus, Ohio. Every effort was made during construction to maintain the natural aspect of the land. The achievements over the past many years demonstrate the great potential of IRONHORSE Golf Club. From its beginning in 1995, Golf Digest Magazine ranked IRONHORSE the #1 Public Golf Course in the State of Kansas. After the 1996 season Golf Digest Magazine once again honored IRONHORSE in their Best New Courses section as #3 in the category of "Best New Affordable Golf Course in the United States." As the course matured, it has continued to rack up honors from local and national publications, and become a favorite among golfers.

Opened in 1961, this 6,345-yard, par-71 course boasts varied terrain, tree-lined fairways and abundant wildlife. Open fairways and fast greens allow both novice and experienced golfers the opportunity to challenge and improve their games. New golf starter building opened in 2012. Senior rates are available for guests age 55 and older. Junior rates are available for guests age 20 and younger. Kensington Metropark golf course is one of eight Huron-Clinton Metropark courses in southeast Michigan.

The course re-opened for play June 8, 2004. An Enchanting Experience begins the moment you enter Makray Memorial Golf Club. Our brand new 24,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse has the charm of an old world manor and spectacular views of the golf course. Paul Makray purchased Thunderbird in 1962 and improved it each year, providing a sporty course at reasonable rates to hundreds of thousands of golfers. When Paul Makray passed away in 1999, his family made the decision to completely redesign and rebuild the course and facilities and change the name to Makray Memorial Golf Club in honor of Paul Makray. Palmbrook Golf Club

One of the better values in the Phoenix area, Palmbrook Golf Club (formerly Palmbrook Country Club) is a very pleasant semi-private facility with a golf course that's extremely playable and enjoyable. The par-72, 6,853-yard course has palm trees and hardwoods smattered around a parkland layout that features a meandering brook and several lakes. Four sets of tee boxes means there's a right yardage for virtually every player. The front nine features several dogleg holes and strategic bunkering, while water comes into play more on the back nine with the aforementioned brook and lakes. The finishing stretch is particularly challenging. The par-4 16th is 475 yards from the back tees, while the dogleg left par-5 17th is 558 yards. The 18th is just 398 yards long, but there is a forced carry off the tee. The golf course, which was designed by Jeff Hardin and opened for play in 1972, is known for its terrific conditions and friendly service. Palmbrook Country Club also offers excellent practice facilities, which include a full driving range, short-game area with practice bunker and putting green. All-day practice passes are available. The club's golf shop is well-stocked with the latest in apparel, accessories and equipment. The clubhouse grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on select days. Menu items in the restaurant include breakfast burritos, Reubens and rib-eye steaks at dinner. Palmbrook Country Club is also a popular spot for weddings and special events.
