About the course
Understand the course before making an access claim.
Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed a golf course for a group of investors and in 1959 the New Orleans golf course Timberlane Country Club opened up. It was the first private golf club on the west bank of the Mississippi River. Since then, this New Orleans golf course designed by Mr. Jones was ranked as one of the most difficult courses in the country. The club has bore witness to the oil boom of the 1980s, the internet bubble of the 1990s and more recently the events of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The oaks planted back in 1959 are now very large and while some of them are gone, their members remain and continue to enjoy the amenities the club has to offer. Why not get some tee times to this historic New Orleans golf club? Located just minutes from downtown New Orleans, Timberlane Country Club has offered unmatched golf, a wonderful family atmosphere and traditional amenities to local golfers for over 50 years, and they look forward to the next 50 years as well.
