Waterloo, NY

Silver Creek

The Silver Creek Golf Club has been proudly owned by Norman Sharman for 16 years. The Sharman family has a history rich in golf tradition. Norm’s father, Graham was the owner of the Big Oak Golf Club in Geneva, NY since the 1970's which is now owned and operated by Norm’s brother Dave. The Sharman family have worked diligently to make Silver Creek a fun place to enjoy quality golf in the Finger Lakes. The family atmosphere at Silver Creek is what makes this track special and a friendly welcome at the front desk is only just the beginning. Located in Waterloo, NY the course is blessed with charm and character. Silver Creek welcomes you in a friendly manner with an open yet challenging front nine. Whatever club is employed off the tee, a short iron will suffice for the second shot. The front nine is 10 years younger than the back and while it can be a bit more forgiving, don’t be fooled. The trip out is no pushover.

Sodus Point, NY

Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club

Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club, once a farm, is characterized by its rolling hills, which create a number of uphill, downhill and sidehill lies. That is one of the major challenges of the course. The other is the winds whipping off Great Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario, which change frequently, so you never know what to expect. There are water hazards on four holes, with a major creek crossing the fairways and creating a huge pond at the end. Fairway and greenside bunkers are the other hazard. The course plays 6,682 yards from the championship tees, 6,316 from the men's tees and 5,529 from the ladies. The signature hole is the 5th, a 458 yard downhill par 4 with water crossing the fairway at 300 yards and a pond on the left about 240 yards from the tee. It plays into a severely elevated large green, surrounded by three traps. The course isn't exceedingly long, but the rolling hills and winds create conditions that are challenging for all levels of golfer.
