Avalon Golf Club

Nestled between Ocean City and Wildwood, along the Jersey coast, lies Avalon Golf Club. Measuring from 6325 to 4924 yards, Avalon is a test for all skill levels. At Avalon, players must contend with narrow fairways, an abundance of water, and the most prominent feature, the wind. Being so close to the shore, the wind might very well come into play on certain days. Remember though, a breeze can be a help or a hindrance, so play smart and savor the moment when the salty air wisps by your face and an occasional gull flies by. The management and staff look forward to serving you throughout the year and welcome the opportunity when you may personally visit and play our course.

Ballyowen Golf Club at Crystal Springs Resort

Ballyowen Golf Club was named as one of the Top 50 Public Courses in the US by Conde Nast's GolfWorld Magazine. More than 21,000 individual golf courses were evaluated based on 13 different performance criteria, including quality and condition of the course, reputation/prestige, food/dining, and service. Ballyowen has continually received outstanding critical acclaim since opening in June 1998, rated the #1 Public Golf Course in New Jersey by Golfweek, PubLinks, Zagat, New Jersey Monthly, NJ Golf, and The Jersey Golfer and 15th among the 50 Most Popular Courses in the US by Zagat. Ballyowen has been masterfully sculpted out of the local landscape by renowned golf course architect, Roger Rulewich. Situated on 250 sprawling acres atop a plateau, Ballyowen is surrounded by rolling farmland and craggy knolls, overlooking the spirited Walkill River. Virtually treeless, with plush green fairways, Ballyowen reflects the Celtic-style characteristics of this most unique golf site. The links-style layout provides golfers with a kaleidoscopic array of verdant fairways, pristine white bunkering, and wheat-yellow native rough grasses. Tee shots flow into unique valleys amidst towering mounds. Glimpses of surrounding golf holes recede and vanish as golfers meander from fairway to fairway. Interestingly, the 360-degree visual perspective is relieved only by play of the individual holes.

West Orange, NJ

Crestmont Country Club

While Crestmont Country Club excels in all areas of private country club services, what is recognized as Crestmont’s feature attraction is its dynamic and challenging par 72 championship golf course. At 6,886 yards from its back tees, with 93 sand bunkers, multiple water hazards and ultra fast, undulating greens, our course is a genuine challenge for the best of golfers. In 2008, Crestmont was a qualifying venue for a field of 52 players vying for a spot in the United States Senior Open and yielded only three scores below par. Yet, Crestmont membership consensus is that our course is eminently “fair” and so tactically interesting that it can be played regularly throughout the season without ever losing the interest and enthusiasm of its players. At Crestmont we are privileged to possess the original architectural drawings of famous Scottish course designer Donald Ross for each of our 18 championship holes (vintage 1927). And in 2008 we completed a multi-year, multi-million dollar “restoration” project designed to return the course to Donald Ross’s original, spectacular vision. As a result, our members play regularly on immaculate tee boxes, fairways and putting greens manicured by our in-house experts to traditional world-class specifications. Our knowledgeable staff of professional golfers, 21 year veteran Head Golf Professional, Bob Downey and several professional assistants are on hand to help our members and associates develop their golf games to the fullest.
