North Shore Golf Club (NMI - UP)

North Shore Golf Course dates back to 1926 when the first 9 was originally designed by Alex Jolley. In 1976, a second 9 was added which completed the 18 holes. A portion of the golf course was redesigned in 1998 by Gil Miller Associates which brought on some unique changes as well as a practice facility. Although many changes have occurred, the mission of the club remains intact - to provide golfers a beautifully maintained traditional golf course and a friendly place to exercise their interest in the sport and the special aspects that accompany it. Located on the shoreline, golfers enjoy several views of spectacular Green Bay. North Shore offers two very distinct nines to play. The front 9 resembles more of a link style, where as the back 9 offers more of your traditional hard woods setting. Although not long, North Shore Golf Club demands precision with iron shots into postage stamp size greens, as well as precision with the tee shot to set up the best angle to some well bunkered greens. The need for precision combined with the strong winds off the bay make the course a shot makers dream. North Shore Golf Club is walker friendly, and walking in permitted at all times. However, properly maintained and conditioned riding carts are readily available. In addition to the wonderful course, golfers will appreciate the club's dining room and lounge. Both facilities offer a friendly and comfortable environment, with breathtaking views of the golf course and Green Bay.

Northport Creek is a par 35 course located within the Village of Northport – just blocks from the Northport Marina. Designed by noted Michigan golf architect Jerry Matthews, the course focuses on the natural – using the contours and beauty of the old farm land to suggest the placement of the holes and the flow of the course. Northport Creek’s owners have taken Matthew’s focus on the natural even further with the addition of solar to power the golf carts and the course irrigation, making Northport Creek the first solar powered golf course in the country!

Oak Ridge Golf Club

Oak Ridge Golf Club was built in the 1920's and still is an old style golf course. Fairways are lined with large oaks and pines. Fairways and greens are rolling never leaving you with a flat lie or a straight putt. The back nine has three unique holes. Fourteen is a par three with an elevated green leading you to number fifteen the "Camel Back". If you clear the camel back you have a straight shot to an elevated green. Number sixteen tee is on the same elevation teeing off to the green down below. The dunes that border the golf course separate us from Lake Michigan and P.J. Hoffmaster State Park. You can always count on a cool breeze off the big lake in the afternoon. In the the early days Oak Ridge was call Pontaluna Country Club and was private. During that time a golf match between Cliff Settergren, Byron Nelson, Jimmy Demaret, and Ben Hogan. Cliff and Byron teamed up for a 2 and 1 victory over Byron and Jimmy. Jimmy Demaret set the course record that day with 62. That record has since then been tied. Oak Ridge is now open to the public and offers memberships. We are also available for corporate golf outings or any type of golf outing. Banquet facilities are located on the grounds but are a separate business. The pro-shop offers snacks and soft drinks and sells soft goods such as golf balls, gloves, shirts and hats.

Put your short game to the test on Oceana County's original 18-Hole public golf course. Since 1962, Oceana Golf Club has been known for having the best greens in the area. The overall length, 6288 from the back tees, is deceiving. The score really counts when the player must know how to play our small, quick, smooth rolling greens. The course is challenging and enjoyable for beginners and experts, and has just what you need.
