Near the Carrabassett River and carved into the quiet pine-filled forests of North Anson, Maine, the sounds of Chickadees chirp, and the fairways echo with the ring of a driver hitting a golf ball through the air, followed by an occasional yell of, “Fore!”, Diadema Golf Club is ready to be revealed in the Spring of 2014. Derived from the Greek word Diadem, meaning crown, the name aptly describes this gem of a course. Featuring 9-holes which also can be played as a full round of 18, this course showcases carefully constructed ponds and a few difficult obstacles. Although lacking the size of most courses, it certainly makes up for in beauty. It stretches 5,837 yards from the center to the back tees, and was reviewed by the USGA, with a Course Rating of 68.9, and a slope of 127 from the back. Diadema Golf Club was designed by Golf Course Architect Michael Zikorus. Not only did he design the course, he also remained with the project and also led construction. Diadema Golf Club also includes putting greens, a driving range, and a training area complete with sand traps, mounds and a green. Also on site is the clubhouse with a dining area, a Pro Shop conveniently located inside, and a banquet facility that can accommodate up to 160 individuals or more with the outdoor garden area. With a mindset to create a family-friendly course for beginners and professional golfers, while still providing a challenge for the more skilled players, Diadema Golf Club awaits your visit.
