The Woodlands Club

Our championship 18 hole golf course is truly the crown jewel of The Woodlands Club. Designed by Jim and George Fazio and opened in 1988, we have hosted numerous state and regional championships for both men and women over the years. In the early years of the club’s existence we hosted three Ben Hogan Tour events and one Nike Tour event, both of which are the equivalent of today’s Web.com Tour. With six different sets of tees to choose from, the course plays from 5,047 yards with a slope of 121 for ladies up to 6,848 yards with a slope of 145 from the back tees. Tees, fairways and greens are all bent grass, and in the spring of 2015 installation of a state of the art irrigation system was completed. The best way to improve your game is through practice and lessons. This is why The Woodlands Club boasts a full service practice facility. Unlimited golf balls await you on the 50,000 square foot rye/bent grass practice tee area. The range, which has been mapped using a global positioning system for accurate yardage, features six target greens with multiple flag locations. Players can hit to the color coded flags practicing shots from 50 to 250 yards. We also have a short game practice area with two full sized putting and chipping greens, a bunker, full length rough and a tightly cut fairway area. Jump into the practice bunker and hit to one of the multiple targets on the dedicated bunker practice green. A third practice green is conveniently located near the first tee. All are maintained to the same high standards as the golf course to help keep you sharp where it really counts. Even when the course closes for the season, we’re equipped with an indoor golf simulator to make sure your swing doesn’t cool down even when the temperature does. Our full staff of PGA Professionals is available to provide expert instruction in all facets of the game, no matter what your level of competency. They will also assist you in selecting and fitting new equipment. The club boasts a fully equipped pro shop with just about everything a golfer could want or need. If we don’t have it, we’ll get it for you!

The Links Poland Spring

When you tee it up at the Poland Spring golf course, you are playing on the same turf where Babe Ruth, Walter Hagen, Bobby Jones, Harry Vardon, President Taft, Jim Gallagher, Sonny Liston and many more celebrities have played. The first 9-holes were originally designed by Arthur Fenn (the first American-born professional golfer and course architect) and then Donald Ross of Pinehurst Fame would redesign the course to an 18-hole championship course. Later, Walter Travis also left his mark on Poland Spring. All three are big names in America’s golf history. The Poland Spring golf course is an 18-hole par 71 championship layout with a slope of 124 measuring 6,178 yards. Fifteen of our holes have views of the White Mountains and/or lakes. In the fall, the colors can be spectacular. Enjoy velvet bent grass greens, well maintained fairways, ponds, and tees for all abilities.

In the early 1930's, the great golf architect Wayne Stiles created the classic nine-hole layout that still sits today by the shores of Wilson Lake in picturesque Wilton, Maine. The course opened on August 6th, 1932 and has been a favorite amongst both local golfers and friends from "away" ever since. More than a few who have experienced Wilson Lake Country Club believe it to be the best nine-hole layout in the state of Maine. It has retained much of its original Stiles character across nearly eight decades of play. The course has historical significance not only for its excellent Stiles layout, but also for the fact that in 1946 the famous Patty Berg played an exhibition match here, setting the women's course record of 38.

Built in 1958, the nine holes at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station began as a facility strictly for military personnel, veterans, and their guests until 1991. Today, the base is discovering new life as Brunswick Landing-- featuring new businesses and the Brunswick Executive Airport, now handling civilian air traffic. Well loved by golfers throughout the Midcoast, Mere Creek is enjoying its best conditions ever thanks to sweeping changes and improvements that began in 2011. In addition to its classic nine holes, the course features a clubhouse, putting green and driving range.
