Pickens, SC

Pickens Country Club

Pickens Country Club, located in the Upstate of South Carolina, opened in 1954 with nine holes and added a second Willie B. Lewis designed nine in 1958. Now in existence for over 50 years, this family oriented club is one of the friendliest around. The par-72, 6,220-yard course at Pickens Country Club features a mature, traditional layout that brings water into play on only a couple of holes. Set in rolling terrain, the layout is bordered by woods on some holes. The majority of the fairways are defined by evergreens and hardwoods. The Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens are coupled with strategically placed sand and grass bunkers that will challenge players of all skill levels. Keeping your tee shot in the fairway is a must when the rough is grown up, and the small, undulating greens require precise shot making on approach.

The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes. The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.
