Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin originally laid out the course and then Von Hagge came back for a redesign in 1993. The playing field is surrounded by water, mangrove thickets, and lush, tropical foliage. Set within a subtropical lagoon, the layout plays beside the bay and weaves around seven saltwater lakes, making for thrilling variety. The long dogleg par-4 7th, which features an approach shot over water, is the no. 1 handicap test.
