The SR 7200 Velvet Bent grass is a seventh generation putting surface that is smoother to putt on, allows for lower cutting, is more disease resistant, requires less water, and grows so thickly it keeps weeds and poa anna grasses out. The seed was sowed to the greens at East Mountain CC early April in 2003. Our putting greens have grown to become some of the best putting surfaces in Western Mass. We are constantly receiving compliments of how these greens are the best that players have played on this year.

Upper Marlboro, MD

Lake Presidential Golf Club

Lake Presidential Golf Club is a picturesque championship course in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Located 20 miles from Washington, D.C., this popular, upscale course, now operated by PGA of America Professionals, fills its tee time slots with players who come from all over the Beltway and the Mid-Atlantic region. Widely considered one of best and toughest public courses in Maryland, Lake Presidential Golf Club earned raves from the national golf magazines when it debuted in 2008. The Landmark Land Company, which had previously given golfers such golf resort jewels as Kiawah, PGA West and La Quinta, designed and built the playing field. Within a few years after its opening the course hosted U.S. Open qualifying. As the anchor of a 1,200-acre residential development, Lake Presidential Golf Club is a visually impressive playing field that spreads out over a former tobacco farm and wraps around a tranquil lake. Though there are houses around, you’ ll be more apt to remember the thick woods composed of giant poplar and sycamore trees, the 30-acre centerpiece lake, a few creeks and other natural attributes on the rolling terrain. This long and intriguing course has a reputation for being playable for golfers of wide ranging skill levels thanks to its generous landing zones. Nevertheless, plenty of trouble lurks to blow up a scorecard. In addition to tee shots that begin from chutes of trees, you’ ll find sloping fairways, falloffs to ravines, and the occasional gulley to carry. The green complexes are stunning, with brilliant white sand bunkers, run-off areas, swales and hollows, and surrounding thick native grasses. Lake Presidential Golf Club’ s multi-tiered, undulating putting surfaces come in a variety of shapes and sizes. While the layout tests tour-quality players from its 7,230-yard tips, four additional sets of tee markers give more ordinary golfers distance options ranging from 6,718 yards to as short as 4,895 yards. Among the highlights of the round are a couple of relatively short par 4s and the three holes that make full use of the lake. Though Lake Presidential Golf Club permits walking, it is rarely done because of the hilly nature of the playing field. If you want to warm up before your tee time you’ ll find a large driving range, chipping area, sand bunker, and putting green. The spacious clubhouse features a full-service pro shop, locker rooms with s

Lakeland, FL

Links of Sandpiper

The Links of Sandpiper golf course is a par 71 course offering 4 sets of tees ranging from the blue tees at 6,000 yards to the forward gold tees just over 4,000 yards. The golf course is a Links style course with rolling terrain, setting up some blind shots and doglegs. The undulating greens are protected by bunkers and the fairways are lined with oaks and pines. Water can come into play with an errant shot on most of the back nine holes. While both challenging and fair, The Links of Sandpiper golf course is definitely user friendly and allows players the chance to use every club in their bag. From par 3’s that start at 120 yards from the back tees and stretch to 215, it allows for all shot types. The par 4’s offer a variety of challenges from short with small greens to long with larger greens. The golf course allows players to test every part of their game, and while the par 5’s are definitely birdie opportunities, you can’t take them too lightly. From out of bounds just off of the green to water strategically placed, you could walk away with a large number if you’re not careful.
