Historic City Park Golf Course
Built in 1926 and designed by Tom Bendelow, City Park Golf Course is one of 20 courses in the country to be placed on the national register of historic places as the community’s first municipal golf course. This 40 acre, nine-hole course is notable for its natural beauty, mature trees, lake vistas, small bayou, and elevated terrain that varies by as much as 25 feet. After renovations in 2007, Historic City Park Golf Course now features four par-3 holes and five par-4 holes. A quaint Pro Shop within the Clubhouse that also houses the Baton Rouge Art Gallery, is available to provide you with service and golf supplies. This course is ideal for a quick round of golf or league play. It’s a different-than-usual venue for south Louisiana, featuring stately oak trees and well defined elevations and hills.
