Honeywell Golf Course

The beautiful Honeywell Public Golf Course provides challenging and affordable golf for all. Designed by the world renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, the Course is owned and operated by the Honeywell Public Golf Course Agency, an entity created through the joint efforts of the City of Wabash and The Honeywell Foundation. Managed by a seven member volunteer board of directors and its professional staff, the Course provides a unique and memorable golfing experience, no matter what age or ability. Financial support of the golf course comes totally from daily operations and fund raising activities conducted throughout the year. The Honeywell Public Golf Course is not-for-profit, with donations tax deductible, and the giving is easy.

Hudson Hills Golf Course

Hudson Hills Golf Course is one of six courses operated by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. The course is conveniently located just off Route 9A and the Taconic State Parkway in Ossining, New York, about four miles from the Hudson River. Hudson Hills Golf Course is the newest, the most upscale, and the most demanding of Westchester’ s munis. While golfers of all abilities can count on being challenged at Hudson Hills Golf Course, it’ s not surprising that skilled players, especially, enjoy putting their games to the test here. Etched into a hillside amidst dense woodlands and thick vegetation, the playing field is a 2004 design by course architect Mark Mungeam. No houses intrude on the action. Four sets of tee boxes stretch the layout from 5,102 yards to 6,935 yards. Hudson Hills Golf Course is known for its unique and varied holes. Many of the tees and greens are elevated, but in between, trees, throttling rough and fescue grasses, along with trees, line the fairways. The heaving terrain and constant movement of the golf grounds result in numerous sidehill, uphill and downhill lies and stances. Chances are you’ ll face some blind shots here, too. Hudson Hills Golf Course’ s tilted landscape propels balls toward penal rough and environmentally protected areas. Those areas create some target-style challenges. Fairway bunkers and deep green side bunkers further add to the defense of par. Even if you aren’ t playing well or are overmatched by the challenges presented by Hudson Hills Golf Course, you can still enjoy the experience. The 1st tee box provides a stunning view of a large portion of the golf course. The long par-4 13th showcases a vista of the Lower Hudson Valley. With its carry over a pond, the tee shot on the par-3 14th hole may be the most thrilling of the day. Alas, because of the rugged nature of the golf grounds, Hudson Hills Golf Course is not a comfortable playing field to walk. Practice facilities are limited, as there’ s no driving range. The putting green is large enough to accommodate some chipping. The clubhouse is home to a full-service pro shop and the Woods Bar and Grill. A popular hangout not just for golfers, the restaurant features a varied menu and a large deck overlooking the course. Jasper Hills Golf Club

Originally opened in 2000 as “Sebastian Hills”, the 18 hole course was unique with its creative layout and concrete cart paths and brought in many, many golfers over the nearly two decades that it was open. The course closed permanently after the 2017 season. After numerous attempts to sell, the course overgrew and seemed completely hopeless to return as the years ticked by. But then in 2021, a new hope was sparked. Local residents decided to take a chance on this 18 hole dream. Their love for the beauty of the land the course sits on inspired them to bring it back to life. It truly was a mountain of an undertaking, but they were up for the challenge. The course has new owners, new vision, new business plan, new everything but the beautiful piece of property the course sits on. The course remains the same layout but nearly every other aspect has been be given new attention and love

Golf Digest named it one of the 450 best public courses in the country and Lookout Mountain has been consistently voted one of the top 25 golf courses in the state of Arizona. Our course has also hosted celebrity events such as the Arizona Baseball Charities Classic and the Phoenix Suns Scramble. Manakiki Golf Course

Located 17 miles east of downtown Cleveland, Manakiki Golf Course is an elegant public course. The classic Donald Ross design offers a variety of challenges including doglegs, water hazards, up-and-down shots, back-to-back par 5s, short, long, tight, and open holes, and two canyon holes. Manakiki is rich in history. Its name is believed to be a Native American word for maple forest and was suggested by the predominance of maples along tree-lined fairways. The 200 acres were originally the summer estate of Howard Hanna, a prominent Cleveland indusrialist. The property was then obtained by a group from the Willowick Club and converted into Manakiki Country Club. The Hanna Mansion was expanded into a beautiful clubhouse. In 1963, the east wing of the original Hanna Mansion, which mirrored the existing west wing was torn down due to a small fire and deterioration. The west wing was recently renovated to preserve its structural integrity and history. In 1944, the property owners, Janes and Fannie Brown, offered to donate the course to the city of Cleveland. The city graciously declined to offer and it was then sold to Cleveland Metroparks for one dollar, under the condition that it must forever remain a golf course. A plaque in honor of the former owners still stands near the18th green. From 1944 through 1960, Manakiki was operated as a private country club. On January 1, 1961 after the country club's lease was not renewed, Manakiki was open for public play. Manakiki offers many great holes; #8 was considered the most difficult par 4 hole on tour in the '50s when Manakiki hosted the Carling Open. Hole #15 has also been selected as one of Cleveland's best par 3 holes. An electric trolley once carried golfers from the 15th green up the steep slope to the #16 tee. The mirror image canyon holes #10 and #18 are among the finest start and finish to nine holes in the country. In 1990, a master plan was developed to renovate the golf course and restore much of its original character. The plan included installing water and irrigation systems, building a pond on hole #3, and restoring a pond at hole #15. Tees were rebuilt or restored on holes 6, 8, 9, 13, and 15. A continuous cart path was also constructed to assure that golf carts may operate regardless of weather conditions. In addition, sand bunkers that were taken out will gradually be restored to their original state.

Mission Resort & Club - El Campeon

The site of many high-level amateur and even professional events, Mission Resort and Club's oldest course, El Campeon, has lots of dramatic holes and views. One of the hilliest courses in Florida, there are elevation changes that are almost 100 feet, with some of those challenges going uphill to greens with false fronts. The 6,800-yard, par-72 course, ranked in the top 25 in the country by Golf Advisor, was originally designed by Chicago's George O'Neil in 1917 and refined in 1926 by Charles E. Clarke of Scotland. The signature hole is arguably the par 4 16th, which has an island green surrounded by sand, palm trees and water. But there are so many memorable holes, including the 457-yard par-5 seventh, which has trouble off the tee and on the approach. No wonder it's the no. 2 handicap hole. El Campeon is a great compliment to the other course at the Mission Resort and Club, the Las Colinas Course, which was designed by Gary Koch and opened in 1992. In addition to the golf courses, Mission Inn has excellent practice facilities that include a driving range, short-game area, and practice putting greens. In addition, the Mission Inn Golf Academy provides world-class instruction. And the clubhouse features a golf shop with the latest in accessories and apparel. There is also a terrific restaurant, spectacular golf course and lake views, Nicker?s lunchtime casual fare menu includes salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The restaurant has a fully stocked bar and several big screen televisions for watching the game.
