At World Golf Village, we’ve created a home for all things golf so our visitors can pick and choose their experience. Whether you’re in search of your most competitive round yet, a laid-back trip with friends, an introduction to the game, or a practice round for an upcoming tournament — do it all beneath the Florida sun at World Golf Village. Tee off on one of our two championship courses, The King & Bear, designed by golf legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, or The Slammer & Squire, created by architect Bobby Weed alongside Hall of Famers Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. With distinct playing styles, you can find the perfect course to challenge your skills or relax and enjoy the game. The King & Bear - Located in historic St. Augustine Flordia, the King & Bear golf course gets its name from legends of the game. Arnold Palmer’s (The King) and Jack Nicklaus (The Bear) spotlighted their decades-old friendship, rather than their storied rivalry, to create the co-design. Measuring 7,279 yards from the stone tees and 5,119 yards from the green tees, each hole contains characteristics from both players’ creating a unique Jacksonville area golf course. The King & Bear has played host to many pro events, including the Korn Ferry Tours King & Bear Classic. There is plenty of on and off the course fun to be had! Slammer & Squire - Located in historic St. Augustine Flordia, The Slammer & Squire was named after golf legends Slammin Sam Snead and Gene “The Squire” Sarazen. The course was designed by Bobby Weed, who consulted with the two legends to create this par 72 masterpiece. Built around wooded wetlands and indigenous wildlife, this courses beauty will take your breath away. From its old pine forest and deep white sand bunkers on the front nine to its views of the World Golf Village towers on the back, Slammer & Squire is truly a tribute to the game of golf. With its five sets of tee boxes, the 6,939-yard course can be played from various lengths, creating a challenging round for the advanced golfer and a playable course for the novice.
