Boasting some of the best greens in South Florida as well as a player-friendly designed layout, the Florida Club is a popular public golf course that's sure to please golfers of all levels. Designed by Dick Gray and opened in 1996, the par-72 course can be stretched to 6,738 yards. Rated nearly five stars on GolfPass, the course, which was renovated in 2018, has four other sets of tees, too, starting at just under 4,000 yards. This Florida layout is routed among native pines, palmettos and oaks. Water comes into play on many of the holes with natural areas and lakes. There are coquina sand waste areas, and strategically-placed bunkers. The finishing stretch is particularly stunning, with the par-4 16th playing to a peninsula green on the water. That's followed by the 180-yard par-3 17th, which has a long bunker and water down the entire left side. The finishing hole is a 461-yard dogleg left par-4 with an approach shot that's mostly carry over water as well.? Besides the course, the Florida Club offers a full driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. Lessons are also available. Inside the facility's beautiful clubhouse guests will find a fully-stocked clubhouse with the latest in apparel, accessories, and equipment. The Florida Club also has a full-service bar and restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and early dinner seven days a week. There's also a happy hour for discounted drinks and beers, served indoors or on the club's outdoor veranda.
