The Club at Castlewood is a private, 36-hole golf and lifestyle club where history and hospitality meet in the rolling hills of Pleasanton, California. With roots dating back to 1886, when George Hearst purchased land once part of the Bernal Rancho, the property later became home to Phoebe Hearst’s famed Hacienda, a grand estate that welcomed some of California’s most notable figures. The original clubhouse, once considered one of the most stately homes in the state, remained a centerpiece of the property until its loss in 1969. Today, Castlewood honors that rich legacy while offering two fun and challenging golf courses, a newly reimagined clubhouse, and a vibrant, family-friendly community. For a century, Castlewood has been a destination for recreation, connection, and California charm.
