Brewster, WA

Gamble Sands Golf Club

Situated high above the Columbia River in North Central Washington, Gamble Sands occupies one of the most dramatic natural golf settings in the Pacific Northwest. Set on expansive sandy terrain with sweeping views of the river valley, the property has evolved into a true golf destination featuring two 18-hole championship courses designed by David McLay Kidd. The original Gamble Sands Course introduced players to wide fairways, firm playing conditions, and strategic design inspired by the great links of Scotland. Kidd described the site as a “once-in-a-lifetime” landscape, where many holes felt discovered rather than constructed. The addition of the Scarecrow Course expands the experience to 36 holes of championship golf across the same remarkable terrain, offering a complementary routing that showcases new vistas, bold landforms, and the same fast-running, ground-game style of play. Together, the courses deliver one of the most compelling modern golf destinations in the United States—where the landscape, wind, and imagination shape the experience every day.
