Course photo for the vineyards golf clubPublic access under review

Riverhead, NY

the vineyards golf club

The Vineyards Golf Course is designed to blend effortlessly with the gently rolling farmland that surrounds it. This par 70 golf course offers three sets of tees to cater to all skill levels! The Vineyards’ strategy and playability puts a premium on accuracy and shot making. The raised greens are well guarded and undulating. Rolling fairways, protected by large meandering sand bunkers and hazards, ask the player to think at the tee about the type of shot and what club to play. The five par-3 holes give the player variety in length, direction and difficulty, and given the open treeless terrain, wind on these holes can be the devil’s plaything. Secondary roughs are comprised of fescue grasses and native wildflowers. One of the enduring pleasures of playing this course is the ever-present natural wildlife-pure and undisturbed. The Vineyards was specifically developed to blend and preserve the rich environmental qualities found exclusively on the East End while still providing a challenging course layout. Walking and playing on the Vineyards’ bent grass tees, fairways and greens will leave you with an unforgettable golfing experience.

Hamburg, NY

18 Mile Golf Course

Three branches of a winding creek intersect at the heart of 18 Mile Creek Golf Course, a Hamburg golf course that has become a popular tee time destination for Buffalo golf lovers. The creeks spread out in a wishbone pattern along the layout’s fairways and greens. These creeks, along with four small ponds, create the bulk of the hazards, forcing golfers to steer drives, plan careful approaches and dodge the water that comes into play on 10 different holes. This a challenging yet fun design that spans 6,081 yards for a par of 70. It’s a perfect Niagara Falls golf getaway, just a scenic drive south of the famous attraction.
