Pinehurst, NC
Opened on April 26, 1989. Consistently ranked in the top 10 courses in North Carolina. Beautiful fairways, bent greens, and concrete cart paths are just some of the things you will see on this course which is open all 12 months of the year.Water and stone have a major influence on the paradise of this private country club community. Charlie Batten, an English stonemason, hand built the four distinctive stone walls that support the 5th, 9th, 10th and 18th greens. Batten spent six weeks carefully perfecting the placement of each boulder using no cement or other adherents. The result is a beautiful mixture of colors and textures that provide National with its unique look and feel. There is a large practice range, with a sand trap/chipping green and a 6,000 sq. ft. putting green. Daily pin sheets show the number of paces from the front of the green to the pin.
