Linville, NC

Linville Land Harbor Golf Club

The beautiful, semi private, member owned mountain golf course boasts 18 challenging holes of tree lined fairways, manicured greens, and several streams and ponds. The course layout follows the natural contours of the land, which creates a perfect setting for a challenging golf course with exhilarating views. Two distinct nines test all aspects of a player's game. Narrow tree-lined fairways require accuracy on both nines, but especially on holes 10 through 18. The fast, gently contoured greens require a keen eye and soft putting stroke.

Summerfield, NC

Greensboro National Golf Club

Greensboro National Golf Course opened in October of 1995. It is a championship golf course that meanders over 225 acres of beautiful landscape including 300 year old trees, 50 acres of lakes and ponds that include 10 bridges, with continuous concrete cart paths that allow use of golf cart even on rainy days. Greensboro National can be stretched to 7300 yards with back tee and pin placements. The greens average over 8500 square feet and consist of USGA spec. base and Crenshaw bent grass. The fairway and roughs are hybrid Bermuda (Tifway 419). The bunker and green collars are Emerald Zoysia grass. There are 44 bunkers and 11 holes where water comes into play. All holes have at least 4 separate tees, some have 6. Greensboro National is an architectural masterpiece built by Don and Mark Charles featuring many player friendly characteristics. Large greens complexes and putting surfaces allow multiple recovery shot options and multiple pin placements keeping the putting surface fresh. There are no blind shots to any tee landing areas or greens. No two holes parallel each other. The early starting holes play West and finishing holes play East to avoid playing holes into rising or setting sun.

Course photo for Mountain Harbour Golf ClubPublic tee-time evidence

Hayesville, NC

Mountain Harbour Golf Club

Mountain Harbour Golf Club, formerly called The Ridges Country Club, is a gorgeous course in the mountains of southwest North Carolina. Located off of Highway 64 some six miles east of the town of Hayesville and very close to the Georgia border, this William C. Byrd design from 1992 has made multiple appearances on Golf Advisor’ s list of the Top Courses in North Carolina. Tee times are quite affordable. Byrd carved the playing field out of woodlands to be the focal point of a residential and golf development in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mountain Harbour Golf Club regularly receives praise for its layout, scenery, and greens. The mountain views are spectacular, especially during fall foliage season. Notwithstanding the surroundings, the layout rambles on rolling terrain that is not severe— Mountain Harbour Golf Club’ s fairways are generous and generally comfortable to play from. Trouble comes largely from going wide of the fairways into the rough and trees, a few blind tee shots, ponds and creeks that factor into play on several holes, and small greens that fall off at the edges. Bunkering is sparse and length shouldn’ t be a problem as the par-72 layout features four appropriately spaced sets of tee markers. You can play Mountain Harbour Golf Club from as short as 4,493 yards and as long as 6,556 yards. Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping green and putting green. Mountain Harbour Golf Club’ s grand, lodge-style clubhouse features a pro shop and a restaurant. As you look out on the golf course and the mountains you’ ll see why this club is such a special spot in southwest North Carolina. Don’ t miss out on a tee time at Mountain Harbour Golf Club.
