Augusta, MI

Stoatin Brae Golf Club

Renaissance Golf Design and Gull Lake View began construction on Stoatin Brae in the spring of 2015. Stoatin Brae is slated to be a par 71 playing over 6,800 yards from the tips. As one of the highest spots in Kalamazoo County, it has amazing views all around the course and vistas that rival those in northern Michigan or the mountains of Carolina. The site is a dramatic piece of land that makes for a dramatic piece of golf. The designers envision a championship caliber course with something for everyone. A variety of tees for all ages and skill levels will make the course playable for female and youth golfers. “We need to be able to offer golf as a pastime to everyone, not just the guy who can hit the ball 275 yards,” says Bill Johnson, Vice President of Gull Lake View. “This is too good of a site to keep for just a select group. We want everyone to come out and enjoy the experience that this ground has to offer.

Cadillac, MI

Lakewood on the Green

Our 18 holes measure nearly 6,100 yards from the blue tees, with four par-3's, twelve par-4's, and two par-5's, for a total par of 70. Father and son team Norm & Pete Smith took 7 years to build the original course which first opened in 1980. By 1985, Lakewood on the Green was rated as “Michigan’s toughest, prettiest nine hole golf course” in The Wedge (National Golf Foundation Market Report). After a few changes in name and ownership throughout the years (Wedgewood, Briar South), the property is now under new management and has returned to its original name in the Spring of 2013. Gently rolling and winding fairways, strategic bunkers and shoreline from the 15-acre lake make for a scenic tour of the links. In the Summer, aside from golf there are nature trails, boating, biking, sailing, fishing, swimming and hunting.
