Manitou Beach, MI

Creel Bay Golf Club

The par 71 course is designed on approximately 140 acres and offers forward tees measuring 5,200 yards and middle tees measuring 6,019 yards. DLGC offers rolling hills, three ponds, sand bunkers on 11 holes and numerous trees throughout. The front nine offers two par fives and three par threes and is relatively wide-open which makes it appealing to the novice or intermediate golfer. The first hole is a 345 yard par four with a sloping elevated green and a pond that comes in to play for golfers on both the first and the eighth hole. The ninth hole is a 190 yard par three which at first blush appears to be quite easy. However, a difficult chip from either side of the green or the sloping putting surface make this hole significantly more challenging than one would think. The back nine often appeals more to the veteran golfer, offering two par fives and two par threes. The sixteenth hole is a drivable par three, but requires the golfer to carry a pond on this 190 yard hole. Likewise, the seventeenth hole also boasts a pond that can be carried by golfers, but a greater challenge exists as golfers will need to hit their drives a minimum of 260 yards.

Dearborn, MI

Dearborn Country Club

It all started with a simple request from one of the most powerful men in recent history. In 1923, Henry Ford instructed his general secretary to "lay out a good, practical golf club that any and everybody could use." With those thirteen words, the Dearborn Country Club in historic Dearborn, MI was born. To make his vision possible, Ford worked hand-in-hand with renowned course designer Donald Ross to design the original 18-hole Championship golf course. He then procured the services of world distinguished architect Albert Kahn to build the fabulous English Tudor-style Clubhouse, which still graces the grounds today.
