In the midst of 800 rolling acres of water and wilderness; deer, fox, and white heron; this championship golf course presents challenges as uncompromising as they are daunting. Five sets of tee boxes on each hole allow golfers of all skill levels to fully enjoy the finest golf experience. From the forward tees the course can play as short as 5200 yards, while the championship tees increase the distance just under 6700 yards with a course rating of 72.9 and a slope rating of 144. The grandeur of the Wabeek course provides members a brilliant test of golf.

Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club

Warwick Hills has been voted as one of the best-conditioned courses in the Midwest with some of the finest greens to putt. The course opened in June of 1957 and was home to the PGA Tour's Buick Open Tournament for over 50 years. Designed by Joe Lee, one of the greatest golf course architects of his time and a direct descendant of Robert E. Lee, Mr. Joe Lee created/renovated more than 200 golf courses, including several with PGA Tour pedigree. Warwick Hills Golf Course has 18 holes and four sets of tees for each hole which can provide a unique and challenging game every time out. The course has a 72 par - Tiger Woods and Billy Mayfair jointly hold the course record of 61. Warwick Hills was a favorite on the PGA Tour and is continuously upgraded and maintained with passion by our expert superintendent, Phil Owen, and his team.

The Fortress

Designed in 1992 by golf architect Dick Nugent, The Fortress reflects characteristics of golf's early Scottish origins. Fescue-covered mounds reveal well-guarded, sectioned greens. Bent-grass tees, greens and fairways surround 75 bunkers. Each of the huge greens average 7,500 square feet. The Fortress encompasses 6,813 yards of formidable play on an 18-hole, par 72 course. Players can warm up on the putting green, the chipping green with practice bunker and the target-oriented driving range. Special events, tournaments, clinics and junior programs are scheduled throughout the season. The Fortress is located just 435 yards from the front porch of Zehnder’s Restaurant in downtown Frankenmuth and has been recognized as one of Michigan’s top golf courses.
