Saint Simons Island, GA

King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort

GREAT GOLF AT NEW LOWER RATES! Owned and operated by The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, the award-winning course is renowned for its challenging layout amongst ancient forests, vast salt marshes, dramatic island holes and comfortable clubhouse overlooking the vast lake that adds to the challenge of the course’s 9th hole. With its warm and welcoming clubhouse and exceptional staff, the King and Prince Golf Course is the perfect location for your next coastal Georgia golf vacation. Originally designed by renowned architect Joe Lee, the King and Prince Golf Course's signature is the group of four spectacular holes gently carved from small coastal marsh islands and accessed by 800-feet of elevated cart bridges. This bold and brilliant design marks the highlight of the back nine, but Lee’s genius extends through the entire 18-hole, Par 72 course as it bends around towering oaks, along large areas of salt marshes, and across lakes and lagoons. Over the years, the commitment to enhance the premier golf experience at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort has remained the highest priority. That commitment is behind the investment in the extensive course restoration project completed in October 2009 that dramatically renewed and restored the King and Prince Golf Course, home of the Hampton Club. With all that in mind, the Resort turned to Billy Fuller as the course architect and Medalist Golf as the builder to create a truly great golf experience. Mr. Fuller has served as course superintendent for Augusta National and his vision was to enhance the original design by Joe Lee. All 18 greens have mini-verde, ultra dwarf Bermuda grass, with 60" green collars planted with Tifsport Bermuda. All 18 fairways have a new hybrid; Celebration Bermuda grass. An extraordinary Practice Facility is open and includes a 6500 sq ft mini-verde putting green, a 3000 sq ft mini-verde chipping green and five target greens have been added to the driving range.

La Fayette, GA

LaFayette Golf Course

The original nine holes were built in the 1930s. An additional 10 holes were constructed in 1992 and were designed by Arthur Davis. The par 72 course features bent grass greens and hybrid bermuda grass fairways and rough. Four sets of tees allow players of all abilities to enjoy its wonderful layout. There are many challenging holes to test players' skill as they play one of North Georgia's most beautiful courses. Autumn is one of the most beautiful times as the course is surrounded by mountains displaying their fall foliage. The course is a true challenge of golf. The front, or "original," side is relatively short but requires accuracy both off the tee and in the approach shot into small greens. A few bunkers are strategically placed on just a few holes. The back, or "new," side is longer, but grass bunkers, mounds and out-of-bounds place a premium on club selection and strategy.
