Course photo for Innisbrook ResortPublic access under review

Palm Harbor, FL

Innisbrook Resort

With tight fairways, intimidating water hazards, abundant bunkers, and extraordinary elevation changes, the newly renovated and lengthened Island Course is considered by many to be as equally demanding as Copperhead. The extraordinarily picturesque Island has played host to numerous U.S. Open qualifiers and NCAA Championships and has also been ranked among the country’s top 50 resort courses by Golf Digest. The LPGA selected the course as the site of the ISPS Handa Legends Tour Open Championship, proving that ladies appreciate Innisbrook’s golfing experience as much as men. The Island’s first six holes are bordered by beautiful Lake Innisbrook and lateral water hazards that require pinpointing accuracy on tee shots and approaches. The middle six holes feature rolling hills dominated by cypress and pine trees. The final third of this course boasts a mixture of holes designed to reward the bold and penalize the errant golf shot. Your round ends at a finishing hole that’s withstood the test of the world’s most skilled players and is one of the most photographed in Florida. This is a member for a day experience and the course reserves the right to move the time within a 30 minute period based on member play.

West Palm Beach, FL

The Links at Madison Green

Madison Green Country Club is a favorite top-value tee time for local and in-the-know visiting golfers in West Palm Beach, Florida. Located some 20 minutes west of both downtown and Palm Beach International Airport, this championship course has drawn raves since it opened in 2001 for its fun and varied design, its natural setting and wildlife, and its pristine playing conditions. Course architect John Sanford created a stunning playing field that winds through nature preserves surrounded by pine barrens. The expansive routing moves in all directions, as none of the fairways run parallel to each other. Though houses line the fairways at Madison Green Country Club, palm trees, oaks, palmettos, pine barrens and native grasses provide a buffer and create more secluded playing corridors. Water enters the fray on all but one hole, thanks to 42 acres of lakes that blanket the layout. While the forced carries can be significant from the back sets of tee markers, there’ s usually a conservative way to avoid taking on the water on approach shots. More than 100 strategically placed bunkers and waste bunkers ramp up the challenge at Madison Green Country Club. The finely conditioned greens feature significant slopes and undulations and generally roll pretty fast. Madison Green Country Club has earned its championship credentials, having hosted U.S. Amateur qualifiers and other important state tournaments. One of the joys of playing at Madison Green Country Club is seeing the native birds such as great blue heron, sandhill cranes, snowy egrets, various hawks and other raptors that frequent the golf grounds. Madison Green Country Club’ s practice facilities include a driving range, chipping green with practice bunkers, and putting areas. The clubhouse features a well-stocked golf shop, men’ s and women’ s locker rooms, and the MarBar Grille at Madison Green, where you can enjoy food and beverages inside or out on the patio. A tee time at Madison Green Country Club promises to be a fun day of golf that provides excellent bang for your buck in West Palm Beach.

Course photo for Pelican Bay Golf Club - North CoursePublic tee-time evidence

Daytona Beach, FL

Pelican Bay Golf Club - North Course

Pelican Bay Country Club is the best Daytona Beach golf facility, featuring a pair of courses that offer the most popular tee times in the area. All 36 holes at Pelican Bay Country Club are interesting and varied, making for a challenging yet enjoyable day on the course. The North Course features long, demanding holes and beautiful, elevated tee boxes. It was designed by Bill Amick, and play winds through waterways, loblolly pines, bayberry and white cedars that escort and maintain the course boundaries. To assign a "signature" hole to the North Course would be an unfair assessment, since every hole has its own challenge and distinctive layout. Some views can be intimidating, such as the high tiers on the 460 yard fifteen, or the gauntlet effect on the 230-yard eighth.
