Lehigh Acres, FL

The Club at Westminster

RECENTLY RENOVATED!! The Club at Westminster, one of the best public courses in the area, is a beautiful semi-private 18-hole facility located on the edge of Fort Myers inside a gated community in Lehigh. During the 2023 summer, the course was closed for a complete renovation. This included brand new Bimini grass from tee to green, alongside new Tif-Eagle grass on the greens. Newly renovated bunkers, tee boxes, and much more! The course, which was designed by Ted McAnlis and opened in 1994, really does cater to every level of golfer. With six sets of tees, plus one hybrid tee, the golf course ranges from just 4200 yards to 6,800 yards. The course winds its way around eight lakes with water coming into play on more than half the holes. Newly renovated bunkers, greens, and a wall-to-wall regrass has this par-72 layout in great shape for any golfer! The par 3s are particularly challenging. Three of them play well over 200 yards from the back tees. The 16th, which is 220 yards, plays mostly over water. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 424-yard fourth, a sharp dogleg right that hugs a lake for the entirety of the hole. While the club is open to the public, seasonal and yearly memberships are also available. The Club at Westminster also features terrific practice facilities, including a large grass driving range, short-game area and putting green. Lessons from the professional staff are also available. Inside the clubhouse you'll find a well-stocked golf shop as well as the public restaurant and bar. Full menu lunch is available 7 days a week, along with two dinner nights on Wednesdays and Fridays. Patio seating and full bar service is available.

Orlando, FL

Stoneybrook East Golf Club

With so many good holes at Stoneybrook East, it's hard to single out any in particular, but few players will ever forget 'The Final four,' Holes 15 thru 18 are where nerves are tested. Lined with trees, surrounded in water, and showcasing the beauty of Stoneybrook East magnificently, each hole offers the perfect opportunity for birdie or the potential for disaster. With holes named The Eliminator, The Chute, The Sleeper and The Equalizer you know that you are in for some challenging fun later in the round, but there is plenty of great golf long before you get there! Stoneybrook East is an exciting championship golf course with a reputation for excellent greens and great course conditions that will challenge every aspect of your game from tee to green. The quintessential 'Old Florida' style of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton Design is very evident at Stoneybrook East. The fairways are large and well defined; large bunkers are used as directional targets as much as for hazards and the greens are spacious and undulating, usually featuring one predominant ridge or tier. There is plenty of water and yet no hole seems tricked up or forced as they are on many modern designs in fact the course has a definite air of 'dignified maturity' The par 72, course, plays only 6820 yards from the tips and offers three additional sets of tees so that the course can be enjoyed by players of all abilities as each hole plays out a strategy of its own. Some place a premium on the tee shot, while others demand an exacting approach.

Port Orange, FL

Spruce Creek Country Club

Thank you for choosing Spruce Creek Country Club! Don't forget to check out our membership options as low as $199/month! We look forward to seeing you out on the course! Once the site of military air training, Spruce Creek is now a fly-in community with a superb golf course, tennis courts, and other amenities. The golf course at Spruce Creek Country Club is a favorite in the Daytona Beach area. It's a Bill Amick-Ron Garl design that opened in 1974. The course plays to 6,841 yards from the back tees, a good test for any player. The front side is a traditional layout with tree-lined fairways that run along the community's private airstrip, which at one time trained U.S. Naval aviators during World War II. (There's actually a sign on the ninth tee that warns golfers to check for incoming aircraft before teeing off.) The back nine is more open than the front, but it does have water that comes into play on several holes. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 519-yard, par-5 eighth. Though it's not particularly long, this slight dogleg right plays through a fairly narrow chute of trees from the tee. An accurate tee shot is a must. Water then comes into play on the par-4 ninth, and there's a good sized lake between the par-3 17th and par-4 18th holes. In addition to the golf course, the semi-private club also offers excellent practice facilities that include a driving range, short-game area with bunker, and putting green. There's also a well-stocked golf shop and restaurant in the clubhouse. The Prop N' Fore Restaurant is open every day with varying hours, offering a menu of appetizers, salads, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches and a full bar.
