Course photo for Fred Enke Golf CoursePublic tee-time evidence

Tucson, AZ

Fred Enke Golf Course

Fred Enke Golf Course was officially dedicated December 3, 1983. Enke offers golfers a different but interesting and challenging approach to golf course design. The major features of the course are its vast teeing areas, large greens, strategic bunkers and sand traps, and most important of all, its concept as a semi-arid, limited turf course. Grass is used only on the tees, ball landing area, and greens, with undisturbed native plants comprising the remainder of the landscaping. Golfers have the option of four teeing areas. Respectively, they measure 6,800, 6,400, 5,800 and 5,000 yards. Because of its rather hilly terrain, golf carts are recommended.

Rancho Manana Golf Club

Golf at Rancho Mañana Golf Club offers a true Arizona desert experience, steeped in history. The course sits on what was once a 1940s dude ranch, where visitors came to enjoy the rugged beauty of Cave Creek. The front nine winds through Cave Creek Wash, while the back nine surrounds a large lake, offering contrasting styles of play. Holes 7 and 9 feature dramatic elevation drops, adding to the technical challenge. The combination of historic charm and modern golf design makes Rancho Mañana stand apart from other Arizona courses.
