Apache Junction, AZ

Apache Creek Golf Club

Apache Creek Golf Club opened on November 23, 1994. In this short time, it has become quite popular with golfers Valley-wide. Apache Creek is a turf-style desert course with transitional areas framing the fairways, making accurate tee shots an absolute must if you want to see negative number on your scorecard. The small-to-medium-sized green can be a bit feisty. However, with a little skill, you`ll capture a few birdies, and with Apache Creek`s great rates, they won`t cost you an arm and a leg in the process.

Course photo for Pueblo El Mirage Golf ClubPublic tee-time evidence

El Mirage, AZ

Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club

Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course prides itself on offering very affordable tee times in the West Valley of Phoenix. Located between Peoria and Surprise, about 25 miles from downtown Phoenix, it’ s a fun, oasis-like layout, as it features water on thirteen holes. Course architects Ken Killian and two-time major champion Fuzzy Zoeller laid out Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course amidst a 55+ housing development in 1985. The playing field is not a desert-style target course. Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course features rolling fairways that extend from tee to green. Mounding and straggling trees define the generous playing corridors and add aesthetic appeal to the layout. Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course is a test that golfers of all skill levels can handle. Most of the water hazards are small lakes situated beside the fairways, though you’ ll encounter a couple of short, forced-carry par 3s. Players utilizing the back tees also must hit their drives over water on a few holes. When the routing darts amidst lines of homes, out of bounds looms beyond the fairways, but the fairways are generous. Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course, a par-72 test, features three sets of tee markers that play at 5,826 yards, 6196 yards, and 6,596 yards. The layout sometimes surprises players with its length. All four of the par 5s top 500 yards from the tips and the back nine boasts back-to-back par 4s of over 420 yards. The greens are generally considered the principal defense of par at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course. The putting surfaces present small targets and feature tricky undulations as well. While walking is permitted at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course, there are a few significant gaps between holes. The front nine has a more natural aspect and flow, while houses line both sides of the fairways on most holes of the more spread-out back nine. Practice facilities include a chipping/putting green and an irons-only driving range. The clubhouse is home to the pro shop and a remodeled restaurant. For a budget-friendly round on a layout that may boost your confidence in your game, book a tee time at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Course, located just west of Peoria.

Phoenix, AZ

Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Links Course

Arizona’s newest golf course, the Estates Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club (formerly the Adobe Course), is in the final stages of grow-in and will open for daily-fee and member play in early November 2023. Named after the iconic Biltmore neighborhood that surrounds the property, the Estates Course sits on the same footprint as the Club’s former Adobe Course, however that’s where the similarities end. Designed by the Lehman Design Group and Scottsdale resident and five-time PGA TOUR champion Tom Lehman, the completely new Estates Course features recontoured fairways, new tee boxes and improved green complexes, as well as new sand and grass bunkers throughout. Crews have also planted over 400 new trees to add more visual appeal while helping to define fairways and playing corridors.

Course photo for Torres Blancas Golf ClubPublic tee-time evidence

Green Valley, AZ

Torres Blancas Golf Club

The perfect Arizona Golf course, Torres Blancas Golf Club, is nestled in the Santa Cruz River Valley at the foot of the beautiful Santa Rita Mountains. An Arizona golf vacation at Torres Blancas offers a championship course designed by Lee Trevino, Ocampo and Fernandez. Torres Blancas meanders through charming neighborhoods and breathtaking desert scenery. The par 72 course comes with 3 lakes, numerous sand traps and generous, undulating greens. Four sets of tees offer a challenge to golfers of all abilities with a maximum yardage of 6997 from the tournament tees and 5200 yards from the forward tees. Green Valley AZ is located south of Tucson, at an elevation of just under 3,000 feet. This makes our climate much cooler than Phoenix (Phoenix is called the "Valley of the Sun" for good reason) and even cooler than neighboring Tucson, just to the north. The beautiful Santa Rita Mountains and Elephant Head offer a dramatic backdrop to the beauty of Torres Blancas. Mt. Wrightson, our highest mountain at over 9,450 feet is often crowned with snow during the winter. However, our winter climate is ideal on the course, with daytime temperatures into the 70`s, 80`s, and even an occasional 90.
