Shadow Mountain Golf Club measures a user-friendly 5,062 yards from the front tees, 5,223 yards from the middle, and 5,375 yards from the back markers. The 34-36 configuration features a front nine with three par 3s, five par 4s, and a par 5, and a back nine that has just one par 3 and one par 5 to go along with its par 4s. Players of all ages and ability levels fill up the tee sheets at Shadow Mountain Golf Club. Sarazen’ s routing provides a nice mix of straightaway and dogleg holes. Though the course is short, it isn’ t easy. In fact, it can be frustrating for those who can’ t hit straight shots or control their distances. Out of bounds looms wide of the narrow fairways at Shadow Mountain Golf Club. With over 600 mature palm trees and also some tall pines, the fairways are well defined. Strategically placed sand bunkers protect the greens. A few holes require an aerial entry to reach the putting surface. The small greens tilt from back-to-front and result in many three putts. Senior players gravitate to Shadow Mountain Golf Club because it is short and walkable, but the course should interest anyone looking for a novel golf experience in the Palm Springs region.
