Voted Central Florida’s Fan Favorite Golf Course & Golf Shop in 2025 by Orlando Sentinel. Known for having some of the best greens in the Orlando area, semi-private Providence Golf Club has a terrific hybrid layout with outstanding conditioning after a recent renovation elevated the playing experience. Designed by Mike Dasher, the 7,011-yard course opened 2007, but underwent extensive renovations in 2018. Native grasses on part of the course give it an open, wind-swept Big Sky feel, while other parts that include waste areas and water present a prairie old Florida look. Most of the back nine features expansive lakes and heavily wooded wetland backdrops. Some parts of the golf course, like the par-3 17th, are framed by large trees. And the course finishes with a tough par-4 that plays 441 yards from the tips, with water down most of the left side. Providence Golf Club has four sets of tees, starting at 5,029 yards. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 425-yard par-4 sixth, which plays between two large lakes. The club's expansive clubhouse includes a well-stocked golf shop as well as a full-service restaurant, the Blue Heron Tavern. Travis Chivers, General Manager, made the list of Top 50 General Managers in the USA (2025).
