Nestled in the rolling hills of western Shelby County, Persimmon Ridge is a golf course unlike any other. Consistently rated by Golf Digest as one of the top two golf courses in Kentucky, it winds through lush natural landscapes and breathtaking scenery. The 18-hole championship course was planned by renowned course designer Arthur Hills, who used the natural features of the land to create one of the nation's most challenging and beautiful golf experiences. Persimmon Ridge is a private golf club and is making select tee times available on GolfNow.com for membership 'test drives'. Persimmon Ridge is located in western Shelby County, 25 minutes from Louisville International Airport, downtown Louisville and downtown Shelbyville. The natural lay of the land allowed golf course architect Arthur Hills to create a masterpiece of golf course design, which won the prestigious Golf Digest 2007 Outstanding Design award. The 18-hole championship lay-out takes you through woods, over creeks, around lakes and through a 120 foot elevation change during your round. Persimmon Ridge is ranked one of the most challenging golf courses in the region.
