This La Pointe golf course is set amidst a beautiful forest teaming with wildlife, the course features huge double greens and rolling topography. Robert Trent Jones Sr. fashioned the design with interesting holes such as 6/15 which shares a fairway that eventually splits off into doglegs in opposite directions. The course will delight novice players and yet challenge those more skilled. Madeline Island Golf Club is set on the largest of Lake Superior’s 22 Apostle Islands – located across from the town of Bayfield, Wisconsin and 85 miles east of Duluth, Minnesota. Take a twenty minute ride on the Madeline Island Ferry across the North Channel and drive just a mile up Old Fort Road to this unique Robert Trent Jones Sr. layout.
