A special Course Emerges So he enlisted the services of William Diddel - named on the "ten-best-yet-least-known" golf course designers of all time by Golf Digest - to lay out 18 holes. Later, Arthur Hills, world-famous golf course architect, redesigned several holes. Still Among Michigan’s Finest Eighty years after its original configuration, golfers still marvel at how the Forest Lake course follows the natural contours of the land and has stood the test of time as one of Michigan’s finest courses. The course still reflects the same spirit and original features with signature undulating, well-protected greens and naturally contoured fairways. The entire course has an ambiance of serenity and tranquility that lets you concentrate on your game, enjoy the company of friends and experience the essence of the sport the way it was meant to be played. Golf is a family affair with many activities for the male, female, husband-wife, mixed events and a strong program for junior golfers.
