Diamondhead Golf & Country Club, located in a gated community outside of the historic resort city of Hot Springs, Arkansas, touts itself as a “ golf course built for golf fun.” Designer Norman Henderson laid out the golf grounds in 1972 in a beautiful parkland setting about 13 miles southeast of Hot Springs and 30 miles from golf-rich Hot Springs Village. Diamondhead Golf & Country Club has stood the test of time and remains a delight to those who play it. In 2021 Diamondhead made its first appearance on Golf Advisor’ s list of the Top Courses in Arkansas. Carved through hilly woodlands, the layout challenges players of all skill levels with its elevation changes, narrow fairways, rough and falloffs beyond the groomed turf, and dogleg holes that bend at severe angles.
