Opened in 1897, Del Monte Golf Course is the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi. Designed by golf and polo enthusiast Charles Maud, this inland course boasts a meandering, hilly layout that has challenged golfers for more than a century. Host of the inaugural California State Amateur and current host of the Monterey Open, championship pedigree and old school charm are in perfect harmony. Small, well-protected greens are the signature element of Del Monte making it a true test from tee to green. As part of the famed Pebble Beach Resorts, Del Monte boasts resort quality conditions. Simply put, there are a handful of must play courses on the peninsula, and this is one of them.
